The Lead Paint Detectives are insured, registered, and licensed with the State of Ohio. The Inspector is qualified/certified in all aspects of the Lead-Safe inspection process, including visual assessment (both exterior and interior) and dust wipe sampling.
On April 22, 2025, the Toledo, Ohio City Council voted in the Lead-Safe Ordinance.
- A Lead-Safe Certificate is required for in-home daycares and 1-4-unit residential rental properties originally constructed prior to January 1, 1978.
- December 31, 2025, the Phase 1 deadline has passed and Notice of Violations have been sent out by the City of Toledo, Ohio.
- Phase 2 deadline is June 30, 2026.
- Phase 3 deadline is December 31, 2026
